SEVER MINERALS PROVIDED A ROTARY CRUSHER FOR THE FIRST STAGE OF CRUSHING

The customer set an ambitious goal to replace the existing equipment. The solution needed to reduce the output of the domain chunk from 18% to 9% and decrease the size of the output piece from 200 mm to 50–70 mm, enabling the processing of quartzites. Based on the properties of the processed ore, including low specific density and abrasiveness compared to the catalog’s benchmark, the Sever Minerals team proposed a crusher with a standard diameter but an increased rotor length.

“We calculated that this is the optimal size to achieve the desired performance indicators, which will also reduce maintenance costs and spare parts procurement,” explained Alexey, the lead engineer, highlighting the advantages of the developed solution.

Representatives of the mining and beneficiation plant are fully satisfied with the collaboration with Sever Minerals. The equipment exceeds expectations: for the +70 class chunks according to the technical specifications, an allowance of approximately 2–5% was permitted, but the test results showed this indicator was zero, and subsequent operation demonstrated a fivefold reduction in downtime for maintenance and repairs.
