Mobile complex for efficient crushing of wet ore for Safyanovskaya Med OJSC

The rock mass undergoes primary crushing. For this purpose SMD111 stationary crushing plant and a Lokotrack LT-125 mobile crushing plant installed at the site, which have successfully fulfilled their objectives for about 20 years. The crushed material is transferred for further processing. The further stable operation of the facility was ensured by another Lokotrack LT-120E crushing plant commissioned in 2019.

The customer required mobile equipment, as the future crushing location could probably change. Moreover, processing of highly humid and sticky material was also required, making it impossible to use the classical vibrating feeders of a mobile plant.

In order to resolve this task, we proposed a ore crushing complex for wet ore using a combination of a track-mounted Metso Lokotrack LT 120E mobile plant and stationary receiving hopper with Metso AF5 apron feeder for feeding material for crushing.

The unique solution was implemented in collaboration with Design Institute Uralmekhanobr. The detailed engineering documentation was done by Uralgiproruda institute for the Design of Mining Enterprises.

The integrated solution includes engineering, steel structures, equipment — Lokotrack LT 120 based on Nordberg jaw crusher, apron feeder, control room, receiving hopper, conveyers, electrics and automation based on WEG and Danfoss equipment. 

Commissioning and installation supervision activities were performed by service engineers of Sever Minerals.

As a result, the Lokotrack LT 120 crushing plant was successfully commissioned in 2019. All technical characteristics of the crushing plant declared by the manufacturer were confirmed during the guaranteed service life.
